SKINCARE PREP ROUTINE BEFORE MAKEUP
Skincare preparation is the process of removing dirty, oil and impurities from the skin.
It is important not to skip this process because It provides a smooth canvas for makeup, it enhances the appearance of makeup and promote the overall health of the skin.
The process include some steps which are cleansing, toning, exfoliating, eye cream, moisturising, primer, SPF.
What is your ideal way of cleansing your face before applying makeup.
Do you just wash your face with water

Washing your face only with water might not be effective to remove all impurities and traces of makeup.
It is recommended that you use cleanser which is suitable for your skin type.
TYPES OF CLEANSER
Water based cleanser: They are more gentle on skin. They are good for normal. oily or combination skin.
Balm: They are in solid form and turns oily like when they get on skin.
Cream: They are more hydrating and nourishing to the skin.
Gel: This is water based cleanser good for oily and combination skin type.
Oils: These are oil based cleanser, they are good for deep cleansing. It is used in the first step of cleansing to dissolved and lift away makeup and sunscreen. then you use a water based cleanser to remove residue.
Foam: This is also use for deep cleansing. You should rinse after application.it removes excessive impurities, good for oily skin.

SIMPLE GUIDE ON HOW TO APPLY CLEANSER TO YOUR FACE
1.Begin by washing your hands thoroughly to avoid transferring any dirt or bacteria to your face.
2. Wet Your Face: Splash your face with lukewarm water to moisten the skin and prepare it for cleansing.
3. Dispense the Cleanser:. This can be applied on cotton pad or squeeze a small amount of facial cleanser onto your fingertips depending on the type of cleanser.
4. Apply to Your Face: Gently massage the cleanser onto your damp face using circular motions. Start from the center of your face and work your way outwards, covering your forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin. Be gentle and avoid scrubbing too hard, especially if you have sensitive skin.
5. Focus on Problem Areas: Pay extra attention to areas prone to oiliness, congestion, or makeup build-up, such as the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin).
6. Avoid the Eye Area: Be careful to avoid getting cleanser in your eyes, as it can cause irritation. If you're wearing eye makeup, use a separate makeup remover specifically designed for the eyes.
7. Rinse Thoroughly: if the type of cleanser use requires rinsing.
8. Pat Dry: Gently pat your face dry with a clean towel. Avoid rubbing your skin, as this can cause unnecessary friction and irritation.
9.Follow Up with Toner, eye cream and Moisturizer to balance the skin's pH and to hydrate and protect your skin.
10. Repeat Daily: Cleansing your face twice a day, morning and night, is generally recommended to keep your skin clean and healthy. Adjust your routine based on your skin type and individual need
TONING
Toning: Apply a toner to help balance the skin's pH levels and remove any remaining impurities. Toners also prep the skin to better absorb subsequent skincare products
EXFOLIATION
Exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells and reveal a smoother complexion. This step can be done 2-3 times a week depending on your skin's sensitivity. apply toner after exfoliation.
SERUMS
Apply any serums or targeted treatments, such as vitamin C serums or acne treatments, to address specific skin concerns.
MOISTURIZING
Hydrate your skin with a moisturizer suitable for your skin type. This helps to lock in moisture and keep your skin smooth and supple.
PRIMER
Choose primer that is good for your skin type.
SUN PROTECTION
Finish off your skincare routine with sunscreen, especially if you're heading out during the day. Sunscreen helps protect your skin from harmful UV rays and prevents premature aging.
